Senior / Associate Project Manager – Buildings Projects

About the role

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Senior or Associate Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary building projects across the UK. Reporting to a Project Principal, you will be responsible for day‑to‑day delivery, ensuring projects meet scope, programme, cost, quality and safety targets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the daily delivery of complex building projects, coordinating design, construction and stakeholder inputs.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, programmes, schedules and resource profiles.
• Oversee design coordination in Design & Build and contractor‑led environments.
• Administer contracts, support change control, variations and early warnings.
• Identify, track and mitigate project risks and issues, maintaining risk registers.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, designers and specialist suppliers.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing building projects within Design & Build or contractor‑led settings.
• Strong ability to manage complex interfaces between design teams, contractors and clients.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills with a focus on delivering to programme, cost and quality targets.
• Commitment to health, safety and quality standards.
