Senior Associate/Legal Director – Catastrophic Loss Motor Claims (Remote)

About the role

DWF’s Major Injury & Casualty team is seeking a Senior Associate/Legal Director to lead high‑value catastrophic loss motor claims. The role is remote with occasional travel to a regional office or London for settlement meetings.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of high‑value claims (£1m+), including motor, road‑traffic accidents, employers’ liability and public liability matters.
• Draft pleadings, client reports, and attend court hearings while meeting strict deadlines.
• Conduct liability investigations, gather evidence, and instruct expert witnesses.
• Prioritise work efficiently, adhere to court directions and client service level agreements.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and internal networks.
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members.

Required profile

• 6+ years post‑qualification experience, preferably in defender litigation.
• Extensive experience with motor, RTAs, employers’ liability and public liability claims valued over £1m.
• Demonstrated ability to handle high‑value defendant files, either independently or as an assistant.
• Interest or technical experience in catastrophic injury matters.
• Comfortable working in a commercial law environment.
