Senior Auditor

About the role

AXIS Capital, a global provider of specialty lines insurance and reinsurance, is looking for a Senior Auditor to join its London team. The role sits within the internal audit function and involves working on group risk assessments, process walkthroughs and SOX 404 testing.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in IA team meetings and contribute to overall group risk assessments
• Carry out walkthroughs of business processes
• Execute and summarise the results of SOX 404 testing
• Use data analysis techniques to test controls
• Identify and assess testing exceptions and explain the risk exposure to management
• Present audit findings through status updates and closing meetings
• Use automated work papers and other departmental tools proficiently
• Maintain internal audit competency through ongoing professional development

Required profile

• ACA or CA qualification and experience in external audit
• Experience in property and casualty insurance
• High integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Self-starter who can think independently and work within a supervision model
• Effective oral and written communication and the ability to influence others constructively
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritise daily work

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Data analysis techniques for control testing
