Senior Business Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join a consulting client in Newcastle upon Tyne. The role will drive end‑to‑end business analysis across complex change initiatives, translating business needs into high‑quality requirements and solution designs.

Key responsibilities

• Elicit, analyse, document, validate and manage requirements throughout the full lifecycle.
• Lead business impact assessments, articulate change impacts, dependencies and risks.
• Shape analysis approaches for Agile and Waterfall delivery, including backlog refinement and prioritisation.
• Provide direction during testing phases, manage defect triage and resolution.
• Collaborate with UX, service design and technical teams, translating technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.
• Apply emerging technologies, including AI and cloud solutions, to deliver pragmatic business value.
• Support benefits realisation and embed changes into live operational environments.

Required profile

• Proven ability to understand complex business problems and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills with experience using data to shape recommendations.
• Experience working with enterprise platforms, system integration and APIs.
• Comfortable operating in both Agile and Waterfall environments.
• Willing and eligible to undergo UK security clearance.
