Senior C++ Software Engineer – High‑Performance Systems

About the role

Avanti is seeking a Senior C++ Software Engineer to join a small, high‑performing team developing the core platform of a deep‑tech company whose software runs on millions of devices worldwide. The role focuses on delivering elegant, high‑quality code with an emphasis on performance, correctness and robust design rather than rapid feature turnover.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the core C++ codebase across Linux, Windows and macOS.
• Design and implement high‑performance algorithms and data structures.
• Write concurrent and multithreaded code, handling memory management and performance optimisation.
• Debug, profile and optimise complex software components.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers, computer scientists and PhDs to solve technically demanding problems.

Required profile

• Strong experience with modern C++ (C++17 or later).
• Background in performance‑critical or systems‑level software.
• Proficiency in multithreaded and concurrent programming.
• Solid computer‑science fundamentals, especially algorithms and data structures.
• Hands‑on Linux development and expertise in debugging and optimisation.
