Senior Client Accountant

About the role

FindCore is recruiting a Senior Client Accountant for a leading international professional services firm. The role is hybrid, with three days in the Didcot office and two days remote, offering flexible start and finish times. You will act as the primary accounting contact for a portfolio of up to four clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of up to four clients, serving as the main point of contact for all accounting and financial matters.
• Prepare year‑end statutory accounts from initial records to final filing.
• Produce monthly and quarterly management accounts.
• Investigate discrepancies, ensure accurate financial records, and support budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management and reporting.
• Review bookkeeping, supplier invoices, accounts payable and payment activity.
• Prepare FCA regulatory returns and VAT returns, ensuring accurate submissions.
• Support compliance with HMRC and Companies House filing requirements.
• Lead and develop two Client Services Accountants.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an accountancy practice, client accounting or industry finance.
• Hands‑on experience preparing statutory and management accounts.
• Strong understanding of the full accounting cycle and client relationship management.
• Ability to manage two direct reports and support their development.
• Organisational skills to meet client deadlines and manage team workloads.
• Newly or nearly qualified (ACCA/ACA or equivalent).
