Senior Clinical Pharmacist – Oncology

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Clinical Pharmacist specialising in oncology to join our 12‑month fixed‑term team at University College London Hospitals. The role works closely with the Lead Clinical Pharmacist to manage and develop pharmacy services for patients receiving systemic anti‑cancer treatment across a large tertiary referral centre.

Key responsibilities

• Provide highly specialised, evidence‑based clinical advice to the multidisciplinary team on oncology patient care.
• Deliver and promote high‑quality, cost‑effective, patient‑focused pharmaceutical care for systemic anti‑cancer treatments.
• Manage the day‑to‑day delivery of clinical pharmacy services to oncology patients.
• Supervise and support cancer pharmacists delivering clinical pharmacy services.
• Lead training and development of pharmacy staff in oncology practice.
• Support the opening and management of oncology clinical trials.

Required profile

• Registered pharmacist with substantial clinical experience in oncology.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to developing a person‑centred clinical pharmacy service and driving clinical governance, audit and service improvement.
• Motivation to advance a career within cancer services.

Required skills

• Oncology pharmacy expertise.
• Knowledge of systemic anti‑cancer treatment (SACT).
