Senior Commercial Property Solicitor (Head of Department)

About the role

G2 Legal Limited is seeking a Senior Commercial Property Solicitor to join its growing Chester office. This strategic appointment will allow the successful candidate to shape and lead the firm’s commercial property practice as it expands.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a varied, technically complex commercial property caseload.
• Draft, negotiate and advise on complex agreements, including options agreements.
• Act as the senior point of expertise within the commercial property team.
• Support, mentor and develop solicitors and paralegals.
• Contribute to the strategic growth of the department and the wider firm.

Required profile

• 10+ years post‑qualification experience in commercial property law.
• Demonstrated ability to handle high‑value, complex transactions.
• Proven leadership experience or the potential to develop a departmental head role.
• Strong client‑relationship skills with a commercially focused approach.

Required skills

• Expertise in drafting and negotiating complex commercial property agreements.
• Ability to mentor junior lawyers and manage a team effectively.
