Senior Compliance Engineer

About the role

Babcock is looking for a Senior Compliance Engineer to join the Non-Nuclear Plant Management team at Devonport Royal Dockyard in Plymouth. You will lead the compliance engineering function, helping manage and govern critical engineering assets that support national defence and operational capability. The role is full time, onsite and 35 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Lead compliance engineering activities across non-nuclear site assets
• Monitor asset health, compliance performance and associated risks
• Produce and present management information to support business decisions
• Maintain governance arrangements and ensure compliance obligations are met
• Support asset lifecycle, disposal and investment planning with stakeholders across the organisation

Required profile

• Experience overseeing compliance, asset health and risk management activities
• Ability to analyse and present management information to support decision-making
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Awareness of applicable statutory legislation
• Security Check (SC) clearance, which the candidate must be able to achieve and maintain; eligibility may depend on place of birth, nationality and residency
• ONC, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering or technical discipline

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Maximo or other Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systems
