Senior Criticality Safety Consultant

About the role

As a Senior Criticality Safety Consultant you will join TÜV SÜD’s Nuclear Technologies Division to deliver expert analysis and advisory services across the nuclear sector. You will work closely with subject‑matter experts to meet client expectations and add value to a diverse portfolio of projects.

Key responsibilities

• Construct and run computer simulations for k‑effective analysis using standardized software packages.
• Determine safe and critical limits and produce Criticality Safety Assessments and HAZAN reports.
• Compile formal reports and data sets that document findings.
• Provide expertise in criticality analysis, radiation shielding for industry, research and medical applications, and radiation energy deposition studies.
• Perform independent quality assurance of calculations and reports.
• Liaise regularly with clients, manage project timelines, and prepare formal pricing proposals.

Required profile

• Proven experience in performing criticality safety analysis.
• Strong background in nuclear engineering or related scientific discipline.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
