About the role
The Senior Dental Officer will join the Public Dental Service at Sanquhar Health Centre, delivering high‑quality routine dental care to a registered cohort of around 1,800 local patients. The role is based in a modern two‑surgery facility within the health centre.
Key responsibilities
- Provide routine dental examinations, treatments and preventive care for the local patient list.
- Support the dental team in maintaining clinical standards and shared learning.
Required profile
- GDC‑registered dentist with a commitment to patient‑centred care.
- Willingness to work in a community‑focused, supportive environment.
Required skills
- Dental clinical skills, including restorative and preventive dentistry.
- Experience delivering routine dental care to a diverse patient population.
What we offer
- Permanent contract with up to 37.5 hours per week and flexible working patterns.
- Up to £35,000 in grants/allowances depending on circumstances.
- Funding for up to 10 days of external study leave per year and access to modern equipment and technology.
