Senior Deputy Nursery Manager

About the role
Our client provides high‑quality early years care across bespoke nurseries designed to inspire and develop children. They are seeking a Senior Deputy Nursery Manager to join a warm, positive team and help deliver outstanding outcomes for the children in their setting.
Key responsibilities
- Support the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), including planning and record‑keeping.
- Promote and facilitate partnership with parents, carers and families.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with local authority departments, regulatory bodies and other agencies.
- Stay up‑to‑date with current childcare and education policies and best practices.
- Assist the Nursery Manager with accurate accounts, management information and reporting.
- Help prepare and deliver staff meetings, planning sessions, parent meetings and special events.
Required profile
- Childcare and education qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 3.
- Previous experience managing a room or team within a nursery setting.
- Current First‑Aid qualification.
- Sound understanding of the EYFS framework.
- Thorough knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
- Formal management qualification desirable but not essential.
