Senior Design Engineer – Structures

About the role

As a Senior Engineer you will own detailed structural design aligned with project programmes, working closely with other disciplines to ensure seamless integration across the project team. You will contribute to a diverse portfolio of commercial developments, mixed‑use schemes and data centres.

Key responsibilities

• Lead client liaison and support business development.
• Coordinate project delivery, resources and design documentation.
• Develop engineering solutions and define design philosophy.
• Produce preliminary and detailed designs for temporary and permanent works.
• Carry out design checking, technical reporting and subcontractor coordination.
• Develop erection schemes and specialist engineering methodologies.
• Support cost control, fee proposals and project variations.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical support to site teams.

Required profile

• Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering with strong interest in structural design.
• Working towards or already chartered with IStructE or ICE.
• Demonstrated experience and competency in structural design.
• Flexibility and initiative to tackle challenging situations.
• Familiarity with Eurocodes and relevant design guidance.
• Proficiency in 3D structural design software (e.g., Tekla, Revit, Robot).
• At least one year as project lead in a client‑facing role.
