About the role
Join a leading UK organisation that powers one of the country’s most recognised digital platforms. As a Senior Developer you will design, automate and support the infrastructure that delivers critical services to millions of users.
Key responsibilities
- Design, deploy and manage automation and monitoring platforms for large‑scale applications.
- Build and maintain alerting, observability tooling and dashboards for stakeholders.
- Develop automation to integrate new systems using existing frameworks and manage job scheduling workflows.
- Create GitHub Actions pipelines for code deployment across test and production environments.
- Drive best practices around security, compliance, reliability and cost optimisation.
- Support capacity planning, troubleshooting and collaborate with technical leads, product owners and engineers.
Required profile
- Strong experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure automation.
- Hands‑on expertise with Terraform, Ansible and containerisation (Docker).
- Proficient Python development, including scripting and Lambda functions.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Grafana, InfluxDB, Graphite or Sensu.
- Familiarity with serverless architectures (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, EventBridge).
- Solid Linux/Unix administration and networking fundamentals.
- Comfort with collaboration tools like JIRA and Confluence.
