Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

Ripple's Developer Operations (DevOps) team bridges Development and Operations, keeping infrastructure, tools and processes streamlined for automated product delivery. As Senior Software Engineer, DevOps you will help discover, develop and implement solutions that improve infrastructure and release pipelines, including developer and production infrastructure, capacity and load testing, CI/CD infrastructure and release automation. The role is based in London.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, deploy and maintain multi-region, multi-provider service platforms
• Build tools for automation, monitoring and instrumentation to reduce operational friction
• Work with wider engineering teams on implementation, adoption and continuous improvement
• Automate platform and application lifecycle services, converging on declared states with minimal human interaction
• Collaborate with product engineering to ensure code is production-ready
• Help adopt DevOps-first principles across the organization

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering
• Experience managing cloud infrastructure, deployments and large-scale multi-region distributed systems, preferably on Azure and AWS
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, including automated environment provisioning, regression testing and containerized build and deployment workflows
• Experience managing artifact repositories and storage systems for build dependencies and pipeline artifacts
• Experience operating, administering and troubleshooting production infrastructure, with a focus on performance, security and reliability
• Experience in Agile environments and strong communication and collaboration skills

• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, Azure Bicep and AWS CloudFormation
• Linux, networking fundamentals and scripting in Bash and Python
