Senior Domiciliary Care Assistant

About the role

The Senior Domiciliary Care Assistant will join Bupa’s Richmond Villages in Wantage, providing high‑quality, person‑centred care to residents in a luxury retirement setting. You will work closely with the Head of Domiciliary Care, delivering both administrative support and hands‑on care to promote independence and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head of Domiciliary Care with daily administrative tasks and care planning.
• Provide hands‑on personal care, medication support, and companionship to residents.
• Maintain accurate records in line with CQC regulations.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Use digital tools and software to document care activities and update resident information.

Required profile

• Team‑player who collaborates well with colleagues and management.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Commitment to confidentiality and handling sensitive information responsibly.
• Familiarity with Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards.

Required skills

• IT literacy – comfortable using computers, care software, and digital communication tools.
