Senior Electrical Contracts Manager

About the role

Axis CLC is seeking a Senior Electrical Contracts Manager to lead statutory compliance across its Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) operations. Reporting to the Director of M&E, you will ensure that all gas, electrical, oil, solid fuel and micro‑generation services meet current legislation, accreditation standards and industry best practice.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and maintain statutory compliance across all M&E disciplines.
• Manage company accreditations, including NICEIC.
• Develop, implement and review compliance policies, procedures and technical guidance.
• Conduct compliance audits, inspections and investigations, and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Provide technical advice and compliance support to operational teams, managers and clients.
• Monitor engineer competence and allocate work only to qualified personnel.
• Produce compliance reports, analyse operational data and identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Develop and deliver technical training, toolbox talks and compliance communications.
• Build strong relationships with clients, regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.
• Promote a positive safety culture and drive continuous improvement across the M&E division.

Required profile

• Expert knowledge of electrical compliance in social housing.
• Strong understanding of industry legislation, accreditation bodies and regulatory requirements.
• Proven experience managing compliance programmes within M&E services.
• Ability to interpret and apply statutory and safety regulations.
• Excellent communication skills for advising teams and liaising with regulators.
