About the role
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Control & Instrumentation Engineer to join our engineering team on a permanent, site‑based basis in the South West of England. You will lead a small, experienced team, providing technical leadership for control and instrumentation systems while supporting asset lifecycle management.
Key responsibilities
- Technical leadership on control and instrumentation systems
- Support asset lifecycle management, including modifications and upgrades
- Develop and implement system upgrades and modifications
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory and operational requirements
Required profile
- Degree in Control & Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience in C&I engineering within a highly regulated industry
- Proven ability to produce and review engineering calculations, specifications and design documentation
Required skills
- Industrial control systems
- Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
- SCADA systems
- Instrumentation
- Functional safety expertise
- Knowledge of IEC 61508 and IEC 61511 standards
