Senior Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer you will lead the creation of electrical system designs for a range of complex projects, working closely with internal and external engineering teams. You will be responsible for delivering schematics, hook‑ups and detailed documentation while ensuring safety and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop electrical designs for remote handling systems, machinery controls, safety circuits and LV/ELV systems.
• Produce schematics, wiring diagrams and other documentation using electrical CAD tools.
• Lead risk assessments and hazard analyses for project designs.
• Support physical commissioning, in‑house testing and troubleshooting activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in electrical engineering and design of complex machinery.
• Hands‑on experience with remote handling, robotics, motion‑control systems (encoders, resolvers, etc.).
• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Trimble (Amtech) CAD
• PAScal CAD
• SEE CAD
• Electrical design of safety circuits, distributed I/O and low‑voltage systems
• Knowledge of LV/ELV system standards
