Senior Electrical Engineer – Electrical System Design

About the role

As a Senior Electrical Engineer you will lead the creation of electrical system designs for a range of complex projects, collaborating with internal and external engineering teams. You will apply your expertise to develop positioning controls, machinery controls, safety circuits and LV/ELV systems for clients in the nuclear sector.

Key responsibilities

• Produce schematics, hook‑ups and detailed electrical design documentation using CAD tools.
• Lead risk assessments and hazard analyses for all designs.
• Support physical commissioning and in‑house testing activities.
• Design and specify control solutions for remote handling, robotics and motion‑control equipment.
• Maintain compliance with safety and sustainability standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in electrical engineering, particularly in electrical design, safety circuits, distributed I/O and low‑voltage systems.
• Track record of delivering designs for complex machinery such as remote handling systems, robotics and motion‑control applications.
• Hands‑on experience with electrical CAD software (Trimble Amtech, PAScal, SEE).
