Senior Employment Solicitor – North West England

About the role

This senior employment solicitor position is based in North West England and offers a competitive salary up to £90,000. The role is full‑time and suited to solicitors with at least five years post‑qualification experience who want to manage a varied, high‑profile caseload.

Key responsibilities

• Handle contentious employment matters, including tribunal representation and investigations.
• Provide corporate support and advisory services to business owners, HR teams and in‑house counsel.
• Draft employment contracts, policies and other legal documentation.
• Supervise junior lawyers, trainees and paralegals.
• Contribute to business development and client relationship management.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years PQE.
• Demonstrable experience in contentious, non‑contentious and transactional employment work.
• Strong communication, organisational and client‑facing skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of UK employment law.
• Experience with employment tribunal procedures.
• Proficiency in drafting employment documents and advising on employee relations issues.
