Senior Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Engineer to join Kier Design’s Structures & Geotechnical team in Norwich. The role involves leading design for complex civil and structural infrastructure projects, both permanent and temporary, and supporting bid and tender activities. Remote working is available with occasional visits to the office.

Key responsibilities

• Lead permanent and temporary works design for structures, highways, geotechnics and infrastructure.
• Provide tender and bid support, including outline design schemes and feasibility studies.
• Offer design management advice and act as Lead Designer on multidisciplinary projects.
• Conduct technical assessments and reviews of third‑party designs to ensure compliance.
• Fulfil job leader duties such as fee proposals, project finance management and delivery to programme and budget.

Required profile

• Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or EngTech with relevant civil and structural experience.
• Substantial experience in civil and structural engineering, focused and disciplined work style.
• Full driving licence.
