Senior Family Lawyer – Private Family Law (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Family Lawyer to join our award‑winning regional practice. Working hybrid from Wiltshire, you will manage a diverse portfolio of private family matters, delivering high‑quality client care within a supportive, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of divorce, dissolution, financial remedy and private children cases from instruction to conclusion.
• Advise on pre‑ and post‑nuptial agreements, separation agreements and cohabitation matters.
• Handle non‑molestation and occupation order proceedings.
• Draft pleadings, agreements and complex court documentation.
• Conduct advocacy where appropriate and negotiate settlements using NCDR methods.
• Maintain compliance, client care standards and robust file management.
• Support and mentor junior team members and contribute to departmental growth.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with at least 5 years PQE.
• Extensive experience across all areas of private family law.
• Proven ability to manage complex, sensitive matters independently.
• Strong technical knowledge of family law procedure and excellent drafting, negotiation and advocacy skills.
• Compassionate, solutions‑focused and client‑centric approach.
• Organised, proactive and able to work effectively under pressure.
