Senior Field Application Engineer

About the role

Analog Devices' regional sales team is looking for a Field Application Engineer (FAE) to support its regional accounts in the UK. Working alongside Account Managers and Business Unit specialists, you will solve customers' challenging application-level problems, build strong customer relationships and drive territory revenue growth. The role sits in a team of experienced sales professionals who offer mentorship, coaching and guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain trusted relationships with target customers and plan and ensure ADI product design-ins
• Develop ADI business at assigned regional customers and identify new business opportunities, including startups, and convert them into design wins
• Position ADI's solutions and generate upsell and cross-sell opportunities
• Communicate customers' needs back to the organisation and support internal marketing and product definition teams with requirements and market trends
• Visit customers regularly, attend trade shows and industry events, and give training sessions and presentations
• Report accurately and regularly, and help the sales team meet KPIs by sharing knowledge on trends, growth and lost business

Required profile

• Degree (BEng, MEng, BSc, MSc) in electronic engineering or a related discipline; analog and mixed-signal semiconductor expertise preferred
• 4+ years of experience at board/system electronic design level, or previous experience as a Field Application Engineer
• Experience in the semiconductor market and in solution selling, and in working with extended sales teams and matrix-structured global organisations
• Valid driving licence and passport; about 10% travel required
