Senior Finance Business Partner

About the role

This senior finance business partner role supports a large, complex clinical division, providing strategic financial insight and partnering with senior operational and clinical leaders. You will act as a trusted advisor, driving performance, planning, forecasting and decision‑making across the division.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and present monthly financial performance reports, forecasts and variance analysis.
• Partner with clinical and operational stakeholders to improve financial performance and identify efficiencies.
• Support development of business cases, service developments and capital investment proposals.
• Lead budgetary control, financial planning and cost‑improvement programme monitoring.
• Provide financial modelling, analysis and benchmarking for strategic decisions.
• Manage and develop members of the divisional finance team.
• Support year‑end reporting, annual accounts processes and wider corporate finance initiatives.
• Represent finance at divisional and operational meetings, influencing senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant with membership of a recognised professional body (CCAB or CIMA).
• Minimum three years post‑qualification experience in financial business partnering, management accounting or commercial finance within a large, complex organisation.
• Strong experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance management.
• Proven ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders and present complex financial information to both finance and non‑finance audiences.
• Experience of staff management and leadership.
• Excellent analytical, commercial and problem‑solving abilities.
