About the role

Buckinghamshire Council is looking for a high‑performing Senior Finance Business Partner to join its Finance team. You will work at the heart of fast‑paced, priority areas, shaping financial strategy and ensuring the Council’s long‑term sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Influence financial strategy, stewardship and decision‑making across the Council.
• Collaborate with service teams and finance colleagues to drive sustainable outcomes.
• Provide expert financial insight to support key change initiatives and financial improvements.
• Monitor and report on financial performance against targets.
• Contribute to the development of financial policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Proven senior finance leadership experience.
• Valid CIMA certification.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
• Experience working in a public sector or local government environment is desirable.
