Senior Financial Accountant

About the role

OakRock Ltd is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join its finance team in Cheltenham. Reporting to senior finance leadership, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, support statutory and regulatory requirements, and drive continuous improvements across finance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements.
• Support the year‑end audit process and production of statutory accounts.
• Manage balance‑sheet reconciliations and maintain financial controls.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Produce financial analysis and management information for decision‑making.
• Support tax, VAT and other compliance reporting requirements.
• Identify and implement process improvements across the finance function.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the wider business.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Strong financial accounting and reporting experience.
• Proven experience preparing statutory accounts and supporting audits.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical abilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Proactive approach with a desire to improve processes.

• Base salary between £65,000 and £72,000 per year.
