Senior Financial Accountant – £50‑55k + Benefits

About the role

We are seeking a recently ACA‑qualified Senior Accountant to join an £80 million turnover manufacturing business in South Croydon. The role works closely with the Group Financial Controller, providing hands‑on support for group consolidations and financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare the annual report and interim financial statements
• Liaise with external advisers and auditors on accounting matters
• Prepare monthly group consolidation
• Support the month‑end close process
• Review month‑end balance‑sheet reconciliations
• Ensure subsidiary compliance with group accounting policies
• Report on bank covenants and prepare cash‑flow statements
• Prepare statutory accounts
• Support oversight of credit control
• Maintain financial authority tables in the accounting system
• Act as point of contact for technical accounting queries within the group
• Assist with UK taxation matters
• Provide support and leadership to the finance department
• Carry out ad‑hoc tasks as requested by the Group Financial Controller

Required profile

• ACA qualification (or equivalent) – recently qualified
• Proven experience with IFRS
• Experience in group consolidations
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and statutory accounts
