Senior Hydraulic Modeller – Lead Flood Risk & River Modelling

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Hydraulic Modeller to take ownership of hydraulic modelling and flood‑risk projects for a specialist infrastructure consultancy in Central London. You will lead technical delivery, mentor junior staff and work directly with clients on residential, commercial and public‑sector developments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead hydraulic modelling using TUFLOW and InfoWorks ICM
• Oversee Flood Risk Assessments and develop drainage strategies
• Design flood mitigation measures from concept to detailed stages
• Manage and mentor junior modellers and engineers
• Liaise with clients and support commercial proposals

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• 5–8 years of consultancy experience in flood risk and hydraulic modelling
• Strong knowledge of TUFLOW, InfoWorks ICM and NPPF guidance
• Confident client‑facing communication skills
• Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship)
