About the role

We are seeking a Senior Indirect Tax Manager to lead indirect tax compliance and advisory work for a not‑for‑profit organisation based in Abingdon. You will ensure the entity meets its tax obligations efficiently while providing strategic tax guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and ensure compliance with indirect tax regulations across all relevant jurisdictions.
• Lead the preparation and submission of VAT returns and other tax filings.
• Act as the primary contact for tax authorities and external advisors.
• Monitor legislative changes and assess their impact on the organisation.
• Develop and deliver internal training on tax‑related topics.
• Support tax planning and risk‑management initiatives.
• Collaborate with finance and legal teams to align tax strategies.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in indirect tax, particularly VAT.
• Experience within complex organisational structures.
• Proven ability to interpret and apply tax legislation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Professional tax qualification (CTA, ACA, ACCA) or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
