Senior Insurance Technician

About the role

Howden is seeking a Senior Insurance Technician to join its Business Services team. In this position you will act as the escalation point for London‑based teams, overseeing complex technical and administrative processes that support a growing client base.

Key responsibilities

• Manage sophisticated technical administration tasks with a focus on accuracy and detail.
• Review, validate, and approve technical data submissions in line with company standards.
• Prepare and audit technical reports, statements, and reconciliations.
• Oversee data entry, credit‑control activity, and resolve outstanding issues.
• Provide timely and accurate management information to internal stakeholders.
• Ensure all records and transactions comply with regulatory and internal compliance requirements.
• Contribute to best‑practice development and coach less experienced team members.

Required profile

• Proven experience in technical administration within the insurance or financial services sector.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex data sets.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external partners.
