Senior IT Engineer – Azure Cloud Specialist

About the role

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior IT Engineer to lead the design, delivery and ongoing operation of their Azure‑based cloud and infrastructure platforms. You will work within a collaborative IT team, shaping technology strategy while ensuring services are secure, resilient and cost‑effective.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, maintain and support Microsoft Azure infrastructure across IaaS, PaaS and SaaS.
• Contribute to cloud migration projects and the creation of new hybrid‑cloud platforms.
• Provide 2nd and 3rd line support, troubleshooting complex issues with internal teams and third‑party suppliers.
• Monitor and optimise cloud performance, availability, security and cost.
• Participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB) activities and implement infrastructure changes.
• Support disaster‑recovery planning, business‑continuity testing and cyber‑security initiatives to meet regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation, technical standards and operational procedures.
• Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure architecture and services.
• Proven background supporting complex enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across technical and business teams.
