Senior Knowledge Lawyer – Employment (Head of Team)

About the role

The Legists are seeking a senior professional to lead their Employment Knowledge team. This strategic position will shape the future of legal knowledge, innovation and digital transformation across a nationally recognised practice.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Professional Support Lawyers (PSLs) within the Employment practice.
• Oversee the creation and maintenance of high‑quality legal content and knowledge resources.
• Design and deliver training programmes for clients and internal colleagues.
• Champion the adoption of legal technology, automation tools and digital workflows.
• Collaborate with partners, innovation specialists and other knowledge professionals to enhance efficiency and support business development.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 8 years post‑qualification experience, primarily in Employment Law.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, either as a PSL manager or senior employment practitioner.
• Strong commercial awareness and a genuine enthusiasm for legal innovation.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Open to part‑time or flexible working arrangements.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of UK Employment Law.
• Experience managing knowledge resources and delivering legal training.
• Familiarity with legal technology platforms and automation concepts.
