Senior Lawyer – Consumer Relationships (Legal)

About the role

Lloyds Banking Group is seeking a Senior Lawyer to join its Consumer Relationships Legal team. You will work closely with the Everyday Banking, UK Private Banking and Customer & Commercial divisions, providing proactive legal advice that supports business objectives and protects customers.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver influential legal insight and proactive advice to senior stakeholders across multiple business areas.
• Advise the UK Private Banking business on regulatory, contractual and commercial matters.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to manage legal risk in digital, payments and channel initiatives.
• Potentially lead a small team of legal professionals and manage delegated line‑management duties.
• Coach colleagues on embedding effective legal risk management practices.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with at least five years post‑qualification experience.
• Demonstrated ability to engage senior stakeholders and provide business‑friendly legal advice.
• Experience in consumer banking, private banking or related financial services is preferred.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
