Senior Legal Counsel – In‑House (Hybrid, £60k)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our collaborative in‑house legal team. Reporting to the General Counsel & Company Secretary, you will work across commercial contracts, procurement, technology, data governance and regulatory matters in a fast‑moving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide commercially focused legal advice across the organisation.
• Draft, review, negotiate and advise on complex commercial and technology contracts.
• Support major procurement projects and strategic business initiatives.
• Represent legal on cross‑functional project boards.
• Advise on GDPR, data protection, data‑governance and related contractual risks.
• Analyse legal and commercial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Provide guidance on marketing consents, customer data usage and regulatory compliance.
• Support complaints, fraud, verification and operational matters.
• Develop and maintain contract templates, legal guidance and standards.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with significant post‑qualified experience.
• Strong commercial contracts expertise, including complex negotiations.
• Hands‑on experience with technology and SaaS agreements.
• Deep understanding of GDPR, data protection and data governance.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and influence senior stakeholders.
• Excellent drafting, analytical and stakeholder‑management skills.
