Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing fintech that is reshaping the pensions market. The Senior Legal Counsel will join a high‑performing legal team, reporting to the General Counsel, and will provide strategic legal advice across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on UK pensions law and broader financial services regulation.
• Handle complex customer matters, complaints and regulatory investigations.
• Draft and maintain policies, guidance notes and legal precedents.
• Collaborate with Compliance and Risk to implement regulatory changes.
• Support commercial contracts and cross‑functional business projects.
• Contribute to governance initiatives and strategic legal work.

Required profile

• Qualified UK solicitor with in‑house or private‑practice experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in UK defined contribution pensions.
• Experience with FCA‑regulated financial services and Consumer Duty.
• Proven ability to provide consumer‑facing legal advice and manage complaints.
• Strong commercial contract experience.
• Comfortable working collaboratively with non‑legal stakeholders.
