Senior Legal Counsel – Product & Distribution (EMEA)

About the role

Invesco is seeking a commercially‑minded Senior Legal Counsel to join its EMEA Product & Distribution Legal Team in Henley‑on‑Thames. You will act as a trusted legal partner, supporting product, service and distribution activities across the region, with a focus on the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee legal work on client agreements across EMEA, including investment management mandates and strategic partnership agreements.
• Review, draft and negotiate sophisticated documentation with large, often international counterparties.
• Support product teams and other functions on legal and regulatory matters.
• Monitor regulatory developments affecting products and distribution, providing practical business‑focused advice.
• Advise on legal risks related to new strategies, products and initiatives.
• Assist with regulatory matters, corporate initiatives, internal policies and processes.
• Collaborate with Invesco’s global Legal group to foster a solutions‑oriented culture.

Required profile

• Post‑qualification legal experience within asset management, financial services or a leading law firm.
• Strong understanding of MiFID investment services, regulated funds and the broader financial services regulatory framework.
• Experience advising asset‑management or investment businesses.
• Eligibility to practice law in the UK (common‑law qualification).
• Exposure to both common‑law and civil‑law systems is highly valued.
• Excellent English; business‑level German or Italian is a significant plus.
• Confidence managing negotiations with sophisticated counterparties.
