Senior Management Accountant (Outsourcing)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Management Accountant to join a modern chartered accountancy firm in Guildford. The role focuses on managing a diverse client portfolio and delivering expert Xero support within an outsourcing team. You will work 37.5 hours per week in a hybrid setting, balancing office collaboration with remote flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for a regular portfolio of clients.
• Prepare, review and submit VAT returns in line with HMRC requirements.
• Produce management accounts to aid client decision‑making.
• Perform bookkeeping tasks across multiple industries.
• Advise and support clients on Xero and other cloud‑accounting queries.
• Deliver training and guidance on optimal use of Xero features.
• Prepare and submit CIS returns for construction‑sector clients.
• Collaborate with colleagues on ad‑hoc projects and process improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a UK accountancy practice.
• Strong expertise in Xero and cloud‑accounting solutions.
• Ability to commute to the Guildford office.
• Proven track record of managing client relationships.
