Senior Manager – Design & Project Management (Premium Brands)

About the role

The Senior Manager, Design & Project Management – Premium Brands, Europe & North Africa will lead the delivery of design and project initiatives across Marriott International’s premium hotel portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Director, Premium Brands, you will oversee renovation, conversion and new‑development projects for managed, franchised and company‑owned properties, ensuring brand compliance, operational excellence and financial discipline.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver projects on schedule, within budget and aligned with Marriott brand standards.
• Manage renovation, conversion and new‑development projects from concept through completion.
• Provide direction to design teams and review design documentation for compliance and quality.
• Lead project kick‑offs, communicate scope, timelines and expectations to all stakeholders.
• Support feasibility reviews, value‑engineering efforts and model‑room assessments.
• Oversee punch‑list and handover processes in partnership with the Openings team.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, developers and franchisees throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate internal teams and external consultants, preparing presentations for design review and approval.
• Partner with Global Design Accounting to maintain financial discipline across multiple projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in hotel design, construction or project management, preferably within a premium or luxury brand.
• Proven track record of managing renovation, conversion or new‑development projects across multiple markets.
• Strong understanding of brand standards, operational requirements and guest experience expectations.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence owners, developers and internal teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, timelines and financial performance.
