Senior Manager, Tax (Deal Advisory)

About the role

British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI) is seeking a Senior Manager, Tax (Deal Advisory) to join its Finance team in London. The role will support tax matters linked to private equity, infrastructure, renewable resources, private credit and public market investments, acting as the first tax representative in the London office.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tax advice on complex, time‑sensitive transactions across private equity, infrastructure, renewable energy and credit investments.
• Collaborate with BCI’s Legal Affairs, internal deal teams, external investors and tax advisors to resolve strategic tax issues.
• Engage with foreign revenue authorities and governments on tax matters and internal reorganisations.
• Serve as the primary tax liaison for the UK office, supporting European investment teams.

Required profile

• Professional accounting or law qualification (ACA, LL.B. or equivalent).
• Minimum eight years of tax experience in a law firm, accounting firm or industry.
• Strong technical background in UK, US and/or International tax.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
