Senior Marketing and Communications Officer

About the role

The Senior Marketing and Communications Officer will lead the communication strategy for NHS Scotland’s national Scan for Safety Programme, delivering clear, targeted messages to internal and external audiences across Scotland.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a stakeholder engagement plan to ensure effective communication and collaboration with all relevant parties.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials, NHS Health Boards, commercial partners and other stakeholders.
• Plan, deliver, monitor and evaluate stakeholder engagement activities, identifying improvements and taking corrective actions.
• Provide regular updates and reports on engagement activities to programme leadership and other stakeholders.
• Support the Programme Director and workstream leads in shaping and delivering communication content across multiple channels.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated, ‘can‑do’ attitude with a strong belief in the power of good communications.
• Proven experience in creative and strategic content development, media relations and internal engagement.
• Experience working in a digital environment and delivering multi‑channel communications.
• Ability to work collaboratively with NHS Boards, partners and senior leaders.
