Senior Medical Science Liaison – UK (London & North England)

About the role

Madrigal is seeking a Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to lead scientific engagement across the UK, focusing on metabolic dysfunction‑associated steatohepatitis (MASH). The MSL will act as the primary scientific contact for healthcare professionals, thought leaders, and patient groups, delivering evidence‑based, non‑promotional information about Madrigal’s pipeline.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, investigators and healthcare professionals in hepatology, gastroenterology and endocrinology.
• Facilitate peer‑to‑peer scientific exchange on disease landscape, diagnostics and emerging clinical data.
• Represent Madrigal at local, national and international scientific congresses and professional society meetings.
• Gather and share actionable insights from field interactions to inform UK and European medical affairs strategies.
• Support the creation and utilization of field medical materials, including disease education, diagnostic guidance and scientific publications.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to shape medical plans and launch readiness.

Required profile

• Deep understanding of steatotic liver disease (MASLD/MASH) and the associated clinical care pathways.
• Proven experience as an MSL or similar scientific liaison role within the pharmaceutical or biotech sector.
• Strong network with HCPs and thought leaders in relevant specialties across the UK.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear scientific messages.
