Senior National Account Manager – Grocery Retail

About the role

We are partnering with a leading FMCG food business that owns one of the UK’s most iconic grocery brands. The company is expanding its commercial team and seeks a Senior National Account Manager to own the relationship with Sainsbury’s and Morrisons, driving category growth and joint business planning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and nurture strategic relationships with major grocery retailers, particularly Sainsbury’s and Morrisons.
• Lead the creation and execution of joint business plans and commercial growth strategies.
• Identify and deliver value through innovation, category initiatives, and promotional activity.
• Own commercial performance metrics, including sales, profitability, forecasting, and promotional investment.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations to achieve customer growth.

Required profile

• Proven experience in National or Senior National Account Management within grocery FMCG.
• Track record of managing and expanding major retailer relationships.
• Strong negotiation skills with a focus on profitable growth.
• Solid understanding of P&L, trade investment, and category performance.
• Confident influencer able to align internal and external stakeholders.
