Senior Night Care Assistant

About the role

As a Senior Night Care Assistant at Barchester Healthcare in Exeter, you will look after the diverse needs of residents, delivering quality, person‑centred care and support during night hours. You will supervise and inspire a team of Care Assistants alongside the Deputy General Manager and support the clinical team in areas such as medication, assessments, care plans and care reviews. The role also requires respecting each resident’s dignity and contributing to a warm, welcoming environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and motivate a team of Care Assistants during night shifts.
• Collaborate with the Deputy General Manager to ensure smooth operation of the care home.
• Support the clinical team with medication administration, assessments, care plans and care reviews.
• Maintain resident dignity and promote a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
• Specific knowledge of clinical care for the elderly.
