Field Service Engineer - Medical Diagnostics (South Region)

About the role

Roche Diagnostics is looking for a Field Service Engineer for its South Region Customer-Centric Field Support Team in the UK, covering Exeter, Kent and surrounding areas, or a designated customer base. The role supports the operation and uptime of Roche's diagnostic systems and products, from molecular, tissue and serum work areas to pre/post analytics and the digital portfolio, using on-site support and remote diagnostic tools.

Key responsibilities

• Provide electro-mechanical hardware support, including routine proactive and reactive tasks and technical training.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex electro-mechanical faults, carry out preventive maintenance and generate reports to improve operational efficiency.
• Train and guide customers on the use of Roche diagnostic systems.
• Maintain administrative and regulatory documentation to ensure compliance and efficient service delivery.
• Build relationships with peers and key stakeholders to align service and sales objectives.
• Attend internal review meetings to report progress and discuss objectives.

Required profile

• A degree or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering is preferred; candidates with equivalent experience at HNC/HND level are also encouraged to apply.
• Extensive experience in the IVD industry delivering technical support.
• Resilient, adaptable and customer-focused, able to solve technical problems and work under pressure in a team.
• Willingness to grow and mentor others through training and coaching.
