Senior Operations Interface Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Operations Interface Manager to provide professional advice and leadership on operational and maintenance requirements for the GBRX programme. You will play a key part in integrating ERTMS and other technological advancements, acting as an operational expert for rail industry partners and bodies.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver strategic operational and maintenance guidance to support GBRX programme activities.
• Lead the integration of ERTMS and related technology across the railway network.
• Provide technical leadership and expertise to rail industry partners, ensuring safe and high‑performing operations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive modernisation and performance improvements.
• Promote a strong safety culture and demonstrate awareness of Network Rail’s safety vision.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in railway operations or a closely related field.
• Proven ability to lead technical integration projects and influence industry stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of rail safety standards and maintenance best practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
