Senior Pharmacy Support Worker – Primary Care Pharmacy Team

About the role

The Primary Care Pharmacy Team in NHS Dumfries and Galloway is seeking a motivated and proactive Senior Pharmacy Support Worker. You will help deliver an enhanced pharmacy service to patients in the Annandale & Eskdale area and support the provision of pharmacotherapy services to GP practices.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to medicines‑related queries from patients, community pharmacies and GP practices.
• Facilitate medicines reconciliation for patients transitioning between care settings.
• Communicate effectively with community pharmacies, GP practices and the multi‑professional pharmacy hub team.
• Support the training and development of junior pharmacy support workers.
• Contribute to the delivery of an innovative, patient‑focused pharmacy service.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic, proactive and motivated with a strong commitment to patient care.
• Experience working in a pharmacy support role within a primary care or community setting.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multi‑professional environment.
• Willingness to take on a senior role for a fixed‑term contract ending 05/04/2028.
