Neurology Nurse – Specialist Nursing Team

About the role

The Neurology Nurse will join a developing specialist nursing team delivering coordinated care for neurology patients across primary and secondary services. This permanent, part‑time position (20 hours per week) is based in the Western Isles and supports both clinical and community pathways.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to patients with neurological conditions.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care plans across primary and secondary care settings.
• Deliver health education and support to patients, families, and carers.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to audit and quality improvement activities.
• Participate in on‑call duties and emergency response as required.

Required profile

• Registered General Nurse (NMC registration) with an interest in neurology.
• Eligibility to work in the UK and registration with the PVG Scheme.
• Commitment to NHS values of equality, diversity and patient‑centred care.

Required skills

• Clinical assessment and monitoring of neurological patients.
• Knowledge of neurology care pathways and guidelines.
• Effective communication with multidisciplinary teams.
