Senior Product Developer – Food Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Product Developer to join a well‑established food manufacturing business in Grimsby. The role is ideal for a commercially aware professional who enjoys turning concepts into market‑ready products in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead product development projects from initial concept through to launch.
• Design innovative, commercially viable food products aligned with market and customer trends.
• Collaborate closely with Technical, Operations, Procurement and Commercial teams.
• Manage customer briefs and present product proposals to internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct factory trials, benchmarking, and shelf‑life evaluations.
• Ensure products meet quality, cost and manufacturing specifications.
• Support continuous improvement and innovation initiatives across the business.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a senior product development or product developer role within food manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of food manufacturing processes and factory environments.
• Experience working with retail and/or foodservice customers.
• Excellent project management and organisational abilities.
• Creative mindset combined with strong commercial awareness.
• Confidence communicating cross‑functionally with stakeholders at all levels.
• Degree in Food Science, Product Development or a related discipline is preferred.
