Senior Project Architect – Colchester

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Architect to lead a variety of innovative schemes for a well‑established architectural practice in Colchester. You will manage projects from concept through to completion, collaborating closely with clients, consultants and contractors while mentoring junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Lead projects through all RIBA work stages, from brief to handover.
• Produce technical drawings and construction information using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Prepare planning, Building Regulations and construction packages.
• Coordinate clients, consultants and contractors and manage project programmes, budgets and resources.
• Attend site visits, monitor progress and ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations.
• Create presentation material using SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Mentor and support junior staff, maintaining high technical and design standards.

Required profile

• ARB registration (RIBA membership preferred) with significant post‑Part III UK experience.
• Proven track record of leading projects from concept to completion.
• Strong knowledge of UK construction practices and Building Regulations.
• Excellent communication, client‑management and organisational skills.
